The question might look weird but in Japan there is already a plan to use these GPS mobile phones to track communicable diseases.

If this plan work out, then there shall be a tremendous improvement in preventing people from these diseases says one of the spokesman from Softbank which the mobile operator that is working with the Japan government in executing this plan.

The actual idea behind this plan is to tract the infected person’s movements and alert others to stay indoor or take up a health check that can prevent them from getting the disease. This can really help people as these diseases like swine flu spread exponentially.

Thus even a single affected person may result in spreading it to thousands. Thus even if we stop a few persons from the exposure to the disease, it can limit the final count greatly. The only concern about this plan is whether monitoring people continuously is allowed legally or not.
